The media was the message. Television in the sixties pumped war, riots, and assassinations into living rooms across America. The whole world was watching. Fear and loathing became the status quo. Big Brother was watching.

By 1975, my altered ego, Auntie Soshul, emerged, overcoming what Lincoln called 'the better angels of my nature' without ever saying a word. She let the music do the talking. Her lesson was clear:
